How Early Should You Book Your Wedding Venue?

The most popular window for weddings in America is between May to October, according to The Knot. That’s when 78 percent of all weddings take place. Of these “wedding months,” the three most popular, in descending order, are September, June, and October. This makes sense. It’s when you’re likely to experience the mildest temperatures in Indianapolis and other parts of the country.

The least popular months–and again no surprises–are the harsh winter months of January, February and March. What does this tell you? That if you think snow and polar landscapes are romantic, you’re likely to need less time to book your venue than if you’re determined to walk down the aisle in June.

The short answer is, at least nine months to a year in advance. But it’s not quite as simple as that. Here are the conditions that will determine your timeline.

    More Affordable Wedding Tips

    1.Set the Mood with Candles
Maybe you don’t want to allocate a lot of money to mood lighting, but you still want a warm and cozy look. Candles provide a very warm light that will last for hours without burning through your budget.

    2. Get an Accurate Guest Count
Your final guest count will have a significant impact on your budget. The larger the guest list is, the more you can expect to spend. This can quickly add up, so sort out your guest list right away.

    2. Make Your Own Decorations
Having a cheap wedding doesn’t mean it needs to look cheap. There are plenty of elegant decor creations that you can make yourself. By doing this, you will end up saving hundreds or thousands of dollars on your overall cost.
