The most popular window for weddings in America is between May to October, according to The Knot. That’s when 78 percent of all weddings take place. Of these “wedding months,” the three most popular, in descending order, are September, June, and October. This makes sense. It’s when you’re likely to experience the mildest temperatures in Indianapolis and other parts of the country.
The least popular months–and again no surprises–are the harsh winter months of January, February and March. What does this tell you? That if you think snow and polar landscapes are romantic, you’re likely to need less time to book your venue than if you’re determined to walk down the aisle in June.
The short answer is, at least nine months to a year in advance. But it’s not quite as simple as that. Here are the conditions that will determine your timeline.
